General Manager & Culinary Artisan
Ellie, also known as “Momma”, has been involved with the restaurant business since she was 16 years old. Growing up in Havre de Grace, MD, she has exceptional knowledge of seafood, and is known for her famous crab cake recipe. After building and maintaining a million-dollar restaurant for almost 30 years in Columbia, MD, Ellie moved to Bolder, a smaller venue in western Howard County. After much success, she has decided to expand her role as the General Manager & Culinary Artisan at The Manor at Silo Falls, while continuing her role at Bolder (Mt. Airy, MD). Ellie has three daughters, two of whom work at both restaurants. She is a proud supporter of the farm community, Howard County 4-H and Glenelg High School.
Director of Events
I am a graduate from the University of Kentucky with a degree is Hospitality Management and Tourism. I am from the Baltimore area and currently reside in Federal Hill Baltimore. I have worked as a corporate and special event manager planning events anywhere from 10-2,500 people for galas, meetings, weddings, parties, etc. I love working with people and am extremely passionate about my clients and their events. As your Special Event Manager my goal is to assist you in the planning process of your event and bring your vision to life onsite.
Marketing & Promotions Manager
Christine has grown up in the restaurant business and has never quite left. After graduating from Frostburg State University, she worked for almost a decade as the graphic designer for a local foodservice distribution company. She has decided to return to the restaurant business using her creativity and marketing skills to promote Silo Falls and Bolder. Chrissie lives with her husband, two children & Siberian Husky, Demon. She enjoys spending quality time with her family, shopping and taking full advantage of her mom’s beach house in Ocean City. You can also find her a few days a week behind the bar at Bolder, located in Mt. Airy, Md.
